The Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards recognize excellence in print and digital content and are the most prestigious industry accolades, attracting several thousand applications each year. This year, Live Design is thrilled to announce that it has won three awards for work by editors Ellen Lampert-Gréaux and Hannah Kinnersley. The winners were announced on September 13, during an awards gala at City Winery in New York City.

Lampert-Gréaux's long-running daily pandemic blog, The Forecast, kept the live event community informed of live and digital events as well as industry updates at a time when the shut down threatened to destroy it. The blog appeared on the Live Design website, newsletter, and social media platforms and shared links to online training, webcasts, live-streaming performances, job news, and technical innovation to industry professionals who were suffering during the shutdown and missing their community.

2021 Eurovision Song Contest by Hannah Kinnersley

Hannah Kinnersley's series of articles on the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, looked at the designers' journey as they created the most-watched live-for-broadcast event in the world, in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The series included behind-the-scenes video interviews and technical diagrams and sketches as the lighting, sound and video designers worked with the technical director to overcome the challenges of mounting this mammoth international production during the pandemic.
