Lighting designer Al Gurdon was back for the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show on Sunday, February 7, 2021, his fifth experience at the most-watched TV sports and concert combo, broadcast on CBS from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL, where the hometown Bucs beat the Kansas City Chiefs. The Weeknd put on a 14-minute show at halftime, what the artist referred to as a "cinematic performance," with a high-design mix of lighting, pyro, and scenic elements. Lighting gear provided by PRG.
