LDI’s Project Management Boot Camp presents several proven templates that will improve your ability to track and manage any size project. Taught by Rohan Garricks, a trained project manager, practicing educator, and a 20-plus year entertainment management practitioner, the LDI2018 course demonstrates the use of several tools and techniques to assist you with managing your projects in a more systematic way, resulting in increased success. The principles taught are immediately applicable and will result in an increased level of control over all aspects of your projects. It will also show how to assess your progress and alter your approach to keep projects on budget and on time at the prescribed level of quality.
Session 2, Executing Projects, discusses the following:

- People skills…what’s that and how is it applicable to managing an entertainment-based project?
- Technical skills involved in managing identified risks on a project and how to prevent them from causing project failure.
- Tracking a project…learn where to focus and how to tweak to stay on track.
- Learn how to assist your technical experts to become great team leaders on whom you can depend for both technical expertise and more importantly project leadership.
- How to gather information to create a realistic schedule and budget?
- How to be successful when you have to “back into a budget”?
- Learn what EVM (Earned Value Management) is and how to apply it to your projects in a practical way.
