May 29 @ 8pm Eastern: Chita: A Legendary Celebration. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ one-night-only evening of song and dance celebrating the legendary Chita Rivera returns in an exclusive stream benefiting Broadway Cares and its COVID-19 emergency efforts. Chita: A Legendary Celebration was originally presented October 7, 2013. It was directed by Graciela Daniele and written by Terrence McNally with music direction by Michael Croiter, sound design by Andrew Keister and lighting design by Jeff Croiter. Richard Hester served as production supervisor and Arturo E. Porazzi was production stage manager. Watch Here

May 29:  National Design Portfolio Review—Virtual Event, final day: This event to introduce talented theatrical designers graduating from the country's top MFA programs to industry professionals is virtual this year. featuring graduating MFA designers Chanté Hamann (costume design), Adair MacCormack (scenic design), Chun Yen Huang (lighting design), Trevor Cushman (lighting design), and Em Allen (scenic design). May 31 @ 7:30pm Eastern: 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards. The evening features an all-star line-up of Drama Desk Awards alumni and friends and benefits The Actors Fund and its imperative work to provide emergency financial assistance. The ceremony will also celebrate the life and legacy of American theater producer and director Hal Prince with the Drama Desk Awards' first-ever Harold Prince Award, a lifetime achievement honor. • Troikatronix Isadora: Build A Video Porthole: In this tutorial, Isadora master Ryan Webber shows you how to build a moving "video porthole" that cuts a circular hole in one layer of video to reveal a second layer below. In this tutorial you'll learn how to work with layers and transparency, how to create an alpha channel mask in an existing video, and how to encapsulate several Isadora actors into a custom User Actor (aka a "macro") that you can use in future patches. Ryan will also touch on using Isadora's Generator actors to randomize aspects of the patch, which is very useful if you are interested in creating generative videos.
