Santa Ana, CA-based Tivoli Industries Inc. and Targetti Sankey SpA of Florence, Italy, will create a jointly-owned US lighting fixtures company, called Targetti USA LLC. The enterprise will manufacture, market, and distribute a range of energy-efficient, low-voltage, original-design lighting solutions nationwide, at moderate price points, the firms report.
Terrence C. Walsh, chairman and CEO of Tivoli, will be chairman and CEO of Targetti USA, and the new entity will initially be housed at Tivoli's California headquarters. Tivoli and Targetti, a venerable producer of lighting fixtures for commercial uses, have had a global marketing partnership since 1995. Tivoli is the exclusive distributor of Targetti products in the United States.
Says Lorenzo Targetti, executive vice president of Targetti, "This newly established company focuses the unique capability and expertise of each manufacturer on providing customers with a strong local source, entirely committed to meeting their lighting requirements with the full complement of Targetti products. The venture is a new growth vehicle for both companies' fortunes throughout the United States."
