Theatreworks At The Palm Springs Pavilion Theatre

Theatreworks recently provided 10 Robe ColorSpot 575AT and a Flying Pig, Whole Hog iPC into the Palm Springs Pavilion Theatre in Palm Springs, CA.

“Robe was selected for their price and quality,” states Bob “Flash” Finical, senior manager of Theatreworks, LLC. “Pavilion management wanted to buy ten new fixtures that were in their budget and they didn’t have to sacrifice quality. The folks at Robe really stepped up to the plate, did a dog-and-pony at our shop in Branson and showed us all the bells and whistles. We were very pleased with the quality of the product and it fit their needs nicely. It was the perfect specification for this venue.”

The venue management is thrilled with their new purchase. “When the facility manager called, a few days after the installation, I thought ‘Oh, no, what could have gone wrong’, but upon taking the call I was relieved to hear the purpose was to lavish accolades on the new gear,” adds Finical. Since shows will change periodically, the industry-standard Hog iPC was chosen to accommodate the majority of programmers and LD’s.

The Pavilion Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs on Tahquitz Canyon Way directly across the street from the Palm Springs Art Museum and, replaces a section of the former Desert Fashion Plaza with a magnificent Pavilion structure. It is an attractive addition to the downtown area with a futuristic mid-century style and beautiful lighting and design.
