Sunday In The Park Projection Designer Being Considered For Scenic Tony Award

The Tony Awards Administration Committee recently met for the third time this season to decide the eligibility of seven Broadway productions for the 2008 American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. Notably, projection designer Timothy Bird and The Knifedge Creative Network along with set designer David Farley will be considered jointly in the Scenic Design of a Musical category for their work on Sunday in the Park with George.

This is the third time the Tony Awards Administration Committee has met this year. It will meet one more time to discuss the eligibility of shows opening in the 2007-2008 season. The cut-off date for eligibility is Wednesday, May 7th and nominations will be announced on Tuesday, May 13th.

The 62nd Annual American Theatre Wing’s Antoinette Perry “Tony” Awards® will be broadcast live on the CBS television network from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 15, 2008.
