Six Theatre Festivals In First Month Of 2015

Looking for a good way to spend your time out of the cold during the first month of the New Year? Try hitting up any one - or even all - of these six theatre festivals in New York, according to The New York Times.

Coil: Jan. 2 - 17 at various venues. Must sees: Mike Iveson's Sorry Robot. The Team's RoosevElvis, and Temporary Distortion's My Voice Has An Echo In It.

Under The Radar: Jan. 7 - 18 at the Public Theatre, Astor Place, and some events at La MaMa. Must sees: Mariano Pensotti's Cineastas (Jan. 7-11) and Reggie Watt's Audio Abramovic (Jan 14 and 16-18).

Circus Now: International Contemporary Circus Exposure: Jan. 8-10 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Must see: Ilona Jantti (Jan. 10). 

American Realness: Jan 8 - 18 at the Abrons Arts Center. Must see: Jack Ferver's Night Light Bright Light (Jan. 14, 16, and 18). 

Prototype: Opera/Theatre/Now: Jan. 8 - 17 at Here. Must see: Todd Almond's Kansas City Choir Boy

Grimly Handsome: Jan. 11, 13, and 14 at Jack, 505 1/2 Waverly Avenue, Brooklyn.
