Serapid To Exhibit At USITT 2007

Serapid will showcase their award-winning products at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Conference and Stage Expo in March.

Serapid’s LinkLift and horizontal motion systems provide simple solutions to many of the common challenges associated with stage engineering. The simple design helps keep the systems safe for onstage performers. At the heart of all Serapid products is the Rigid Chain—a chain capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting with the strength of a steel column.

The LinkLift accommodates high trim lifting applications quietly, smoothly, and safely. The square links work like building blocks to form a tower stack. The shape and locking technique of the links allow it to be capable of extra-high rigidity and strength. The LinkLift is capable of lifting up to 22,000 pounds! It is also able to absorb tensile forces, such as those found through the seismic vibrations or the wave motions on a cruse ship.

Serapid’s horizontal motion systems feature high transfer speeds and extremely low noise levels. Their silent chain technology, which incorporates highly soundproof materials for the chain rollers and guides, allows the stage wagons to glide along at a whisper. This same technology lets the wagon cross tracks and move on multiple levels. It can move up to 200 feet per minute and up to 77,000 pounds per chain!
