Cirque du Soleil's R.U.N was an epic rock concert, meets action film, meets live theatrical production. David Finn's creativity and out-of-the-box lighting allowed the team to create distinctively different looking worlds within this gritty, graphic novel-esque story.
“I saw this show live in Vegas and while much of it was unsuccessful, Finn's work melding what we think of as film and what we think of as live performance was brilliant. The assignment here was to immerse the audience in an action film and I think what I admired most was how well Finn played with the contrast between two and three dimensions. Certainly, the budget was high but this still was a breathtaking visual exploration of how we all appear and disappear from view.
