The Nominees Of The 2018 Tony Awards

The American Theatre Wing announced the nominations for the 72nd annual Tony Awards on this Tuesday morning. New musicals Mean Girls and SpongeBob SquarePants led the way with 12 nominations each, followed by Angels in America, Carousel, and The Band's Visit with 11 each. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and My Fair Lady received ten nods each.

Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban will host this year’s ceremony on June 10 at 8 p.m. ET and broadcast live on CBS. Chita Rivera and Andrew Lloyd Webber are to be honored with the 2018 Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement during the ceremony.
