Long Reach Long Riders Ride Again In 2008

The Long Reach Long Riders announce the route and dates of their fifth annual charity motorcycle ride. The 2008 ride will begin on May 11 in Las Vegas and continue through Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Moab, Mesa Verde, Kayenta, and the north rim of the Grand Canyon before returning to Las Vegas on May 18.

Loren Schreiber, one of the founding members of the LRLR and organizer of this years' ride, noted, "The desert mountains and canyons will offer a stark contrast to the lush New England scenery we rode through last summer."

The Long Reach Long Riders are a group of theatre technicians/motorcycle enthusiasts who have been holding a charity motorcycle run since 2004. What was intended to be a one-time ride has become a very popular annual event. To date, more than 30 riders have participated, raising over $140,000 to benefit two charities,Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the ESTA Foundation's Behind the Scenes program.
