Lighting Plots For Candide At Tanglewood

One of the most charming productions of the summer was at Tanglewood: The Knights' fully staged version of Leonard Bernstein's Candide, his delightful 1956 comic operetta based on the 18th-century philosopher Voltaire's satirical novel of the same name. The production was part of a Bernstein Centennial, as the great American composer would have celebrated his 100th birthday on August 25, 2018. Lighting designer Aaron Copp shares his light plots, gear list, and credits for this commedia dell'arte-style production with a carnivalesque ambiance and festoons of lights. Read about his design for Candide here. Click through the slideshow to view the light plots.
