Neil Austin's lighting design for Company was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2018, and adapted it for Broadway with previews starting early March 2020. The lighting acts as an additional character in the show and helps craft the narrative.

“I saw this design in London and was knocked out by how well it explicated both the original themes of the show and the revisionist aspects of this revival. You never think of this particular title as a design tour de force and the requisite locations seem banal (and often are lit as such). I thought Austin brilliantly turned all of that on its head and created a visual performance of breathtaking richness.” — Chris Jones, Theatre Critic, Chicago Tribune
