The 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards announced the nominations for the 2013-2014 season this morning at 54 Below.
Among the nominees are speakers for Live Design’s 2014 Broadway Master Classes. BLMC speakers and lighting designers Christopher Akerlind and Japhy Wiedeman were nominated for their work in Rocky and Macbeth, respectively. BSMC speakers and sound designers were nominated for their work in a musical and/or play: Peter Hylenski for Bullets Over Broadway: The Musical and Rocky, Jon Weston for The Bridges of Madison Country, and Dan Moses Schreier for A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder and Act One.
Official nomination certificates will be presented at the nominees' reception on May 7th from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at The JW Marriott Essex House. The winners will be announced at the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 8 p.m. at The Town Hall in Manhattan.
