31 Days Of Plots: Rock Of Ages Tenth Anniversary Tour

To celebrate the achievements of 2018 and to welcome all the prospects of 2019, Live Design is conducting 31 Days Of Plots. Every day during the month of December 2018, we will highlight a different lighting design, from across theatre, concert tours, corporate events, and more.

Lighting designer Mike Baldassari shares his plots for the tenth anniversary tour of Rock Of Ages, which has announced dates across North America through June 2019.

A few stats on the tour:

  • Over 100 moving Lights on the tour, but no dimmers.
  • The tour plays lots of really big houses (i.e.: all the Fox Theatres) but is also capable of playing one nighters.
  • All of the musical numbers are on time code that’s locked to the band’s click tracks and there are over 1,000 light cues.
