2006 BLMC Lighting &Projection Panel Announced

The 12th annual Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC), to be held May 22-24 at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, will feature a projection panel led by renowned projection designer Wendall K. Harrington. The panel, titled “Playing Nice,” taking place Wednesday, May 24 at 3:45pm, will provide a fitting finale to the BLMC, as it discusses the growing convergence of projection and lighting in theatre.

Harrington will moderate a selection of top theatrical lighting/projection designers as they discuss the integration of lighting and projection on stage. Topics include:

  • How lighting designers and projection designers can best communicate, and help each other to create an enriching and collaborative production.
  • How designers can make the work more compelling and the entire process smoother.

The Live Design Master Classes, comprised of the Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC) and the Broadway Sound Master Classes (BSMC), will take place May 19-24, 2006 at New York University in New York City. Produced by Live Design magazine in conjunction with the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, the 12th annual BLMC and fourth annual BSMC represent in-depth professional training in lighting and sound, with sessions by the top designers in their respective fields. Tony Award-winning lighting designer Jules Fisher serves as creative consultant for the BLMC, while legendary sound designer Abe Jacob is creative consultant to the BSMC.
