STUDENTS MAKE LIGHTS FOR LURALINE

A design competition, “It's Your Light,” sponsored by lighting manufacturer Luraline, will give a winning student the opportunity to have his or her original concept put into production. In its first year, this annual competition solicits new designs for lighting fixtures from design and architecture students. Fixtures may be suitable for interior and/or exterior use and residential and/or commercial installations.

“‘It's Your Light’ both encourages education in lighting design and gives Luraline a way to support young design talent,” says Luraline president Howard Levine.

Entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts based on creativity and feasibility of design. The winner will receive a cash prize of $1,500 and the winner's school will receive $1,000. In addition, the winning design may be put into production as part of Luraline's Designer Series.

To receive an entry form, call 800-940-6588, or visit www.luraline.com. The deadline for entries is November 30, 2001.
