AV Concepts Takes Hi-Res Video To The Limit For Corporate Event

AV Concepts--a full-service supplier of audio-visual, staging, and technical support for meetings, conventions and trade shows--recently completed a show for a Fortune 500 software management company at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. With 3,000 people in attendance, this sales incentive program was overloaded with exciting technology.

Video included the company’s new 12K SXGA+ projectors from DPI on three screens including a 15’x50’ center screen and two 15’x20’ side screens. The pixels were pushed to the limit because the client wanted the 90’ of image width in high resolution, using a single HD source. The images were mapped using a Spyder processor and an expansion module from Vista Systems. The high-resolution image, 13 million pixels wide, was projected across all three screens using AVC’s Qu-bit high-definition hard disc source.

On stage, motorcycle engines revved and the pyro exploded as the opening module started. AVC had separate HD creative content, as well as very sharp presentation support graphics during the CEO’s presentation. The AV Concepts team provided various levels of support throughout the program, including helping the client design all aspects of the widescreen, referring a technical director and aiding in on-site management and logistics.
