If you are in London before next spring, The Design Museum has a treat for all fans of stage design. "Es Devlin: Other Worlds," opened on October 2 and runs through April 4 2027, showcasing notebooks, models, and films highlighting the British artist and stage designer's work over the last 30 years.

Some of the early exhibits are sketches and artworks saved in garbage bags in the attic of an old boyfriend that Es Devlin retrieved twenty years ago. They illustrate the progression of her work from exploratory art to stage design. There are also models and sketches of recent, high-profile projects, including her Super Bowl Halftime Show work for Dr. Dre in 2022 and The Forest of Us.

Entrance to the exhibit is through a recreation of her workshop, and the focus of the exhibition, along with two films about her work, is "The 30-Year Desk," a circular white desk containing models, drawings and notes that can be viewed from different angles.

See below for some images of the exhibit, or visit the Design Museum for more information.
