Lift-Turn-Move Turns Two At PLASA 2006

Lifting and rigging sales specialists Lift-Turn-Move (LTM), aka, The Lodestar People, celebrate their second birthday at PLASA 2006.

The LTM team will have a special cake on the stand to help celebrate the occasion, as well as a selection of their range of Lodestar hoists, motor control systems, and other rigging equipment and accessories. They will also discuss their latest training initiatives, an element that key individuals in the company have pioneered throughout the industry for the last 12 years.

CM Lodestars® and Prostars®
The Lodestar® and Prostar® electric chain hoists are being highlighted at this year’s show. The Lodestar hoists can be found on most tours, events, and venues around the world. High integrity hoisting systems are also available, including equipment to BGV C1 German safety standards. Special features include double brakes, load sensing, and multiple limit switches. Variable speed units and manual or computerized controllers are available to monitor safety features and drive the equipment. LTM also offers a range of spare parts for Lodestars and Prostars, plus repairs and routine servicing, with staff fully trained in both standard equipment and BGV C1 certified equipment. Also showing is the compact CM Prostar hoists, with increased capacities and speeds. This higher speed version will lift at 6 or 10m/min (increased from the industry standard 4m/min a minute). A very small, lightweight 250kg @ 4m/minute version will also be shown.

There will also be a “surprise” Lodestar on show – so be sure to check it out!

New Range of Motor Controllers
LTM started manufacturing hoist controllers a year ago and have constructed systems for both direct control and low voltage controlled hoists. The past 12 months have seen the range of equipment grow from 4 channel to 42 channel units. Most are movable flight cased units, but many wall mounted systems have also been built and supplied for permanent installations. LTM can design and construct bespoke control systems to fit client’s exact and specific requirements.

Winches
LTM will show an extended range of hand winches, as previewed in their new catalog and reference guide, also available at the stand.

Training
LTM has just opened a new training facility at its Wirral, Merseyside HQ, and is aiming to hold comprehensive product training schools for Lodestar hoists, having completed numerous on-site training courses in the last 12 months. The new facility offers great opportunities for those eager to expand their technical horizons.
