The Knight of Illumination USA Awards (KOI-USA) ceremony and gala dinner return to Las Vegas this November, championing the work of local and international lighting designers and video designers across the United States. The Awards cover leading design work in the sectors of Theatre, Live for Broadcast, and Concert Touring & Events.
The Awards boast three stellar judging panels—led by lighting designer John Featherstone, chair of CT&E; dance critic of the Chicago Tribune, Lauren Warnecke, chair of Theatre; and lighting designer Jeff Ravitz, chair of Live for Broadcast—comprised of arts critics and industry experts, with specialist knowledge of their sector, to ensure well-rounded coverage and expert insight during the judging process.
After long deliberation, the judges whittled down the nominations to the final shortlist of three projects per award. Click through the slideshow to view the shortlisters and read the judges' comments.
The winners of all three categories will be announced at the 2019 KOI-USA Awards ceremony and gala dinner held at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas on Friday, November 22, to coincide with the LDI Conference & Tradeshow.
