Flashback: Lighting Plot for World of Dance, Season 2

With Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and Ne-Yo as judges, World of Dance, a dance competition television series aligned with the international competition of the same name, celebrates dance companies and individuals across a number of disciplines and age ranges. To aid in this task, the lighting design must help support the architectural theme of a coliseum while also accentuating the shape and lines of the bodies of dancers in a theatrical and striking manner. The other challenge of the show is a pair of 360° rail cams that functionally eliminates the fourth wall. Lighting designer Oscar Dominguez worked with lighting directors Dan Boland and Brandon Davis to achieve these goals for Season 2 of the series.
