Meyer Sound Establishes Meyer Sound UK Ltd.

Meyer Sound has announced that it has incorporated its business in the UK by establishing Meyer Sound UK Limited. This marks the second announcement from the company this month that demonstrates Meyer Sound’s commitment to the growing European marketplace, the first being the appointment of Dave “Wiggy” Wiggins to the newly created position of Director of Marketing for Europe.

“The continuing development of Meyer Sound’s business in Europe has made it essential for the company to form a strategic presence in the UK, which is one of the most influential professional audio markets in the world,” says Helen Meyer, executive vice president of Meyer Sound. “The move to establish Meyer Sound in the UK is a key ingredient in our medium- to long-term plans for growing our customer base, developing new markets, and getting closer to our clients to serve them better.”

Over the past few years, Meyer Sound has made a series of strategic hires in the UK market, adding Roger Harpum to its sales force, John Pellowe to oversee Constellation efforts, and now, long-time industry veteran Dave Wiggins to the marketing team. In addition, education program manager Gavin Canaan recently relocated to the UK in order to further develop Meyer Sound’s worldwide educational program in Europe. This growth in personnel has happened in tandem with an increasing demand for Meyer Sound products in the UK, contributing to Meyer Sound’s expanding customer base in the European market.

“After working with Meyer Sound for more than 20 years, the formation of Meyer Sound UK Ltd. is excellent news,” says Graham Paddon, founding director of Amber Sound and a long-time Meyer Sound user. “This sends a positive message to Amber Sound and to Meyer Sound’s dealers and customers in the UK and Ireland: that the company wants to get closer to us all and is committed to delivering a more personal level of customer service and support.”
