Relighting Niagara Falls With LEDs

The majestic beauty of Niagara Falls, the impressive waterfalls that span the border between Canada and the state of New York, has been enhanced with a totally digital lighting system comprising 1400 RGBW LEDs in 350 control zones mapped over the falls with full color-mixing capability. Anne Militello of Vortex Lighting moderates this LDI session with Bobby Harrell of Philips Strand Lighting, programmer of the Strand NEO console used to control the project, Alan McIntosh, lighting designer from Mulvey & Banani Lighting, and Martin Searancke of Dream Solutions, as they discuss the challenges of this massive project.
