Live Design has named its top products of the past year again. Chosen by our panels of prestigious judges in three categories—lighting, projection, and sound—several months were spent debating the Live Design 2016-2017 Products Of The Year.
Mapping Matter is a simulation tool designed for audiovisual professionals who need to create video projection studies for large-scale projects and confirm budget estimations, as well as evaluate luminance and pixel densities, and iterate on complex projector placements. As one of our judges says, “It can be an incredible challenge to accurately sort out projector placement and coverage for complex projection-mapping. Mapping Matter makes it a snap, with robust tools for importing 3D meshes and placing projector locations. Then test and adjust away until you have sorted out the best approach. Products of the year will be presented along with the Live Design Achievement Awards and the tenth annual Excellence in Live Design Awards during a ceremony, sponsored by GLP and Meyer Sound, on June 12 in New York.
