Barco now offers a full range of media servers that offer show automation. Available in four models—XHD-400, XHD-402, XHD-404, and XHD-200—the servers are suitable for rental and staging applications and 3D projection mapping, while they can also be used for fixed installations. They allow users to remotely monitor, control, and synchronize players from a controller PC and have a distributed content management system. The hardware consists of state-of-the-art graphic cards, solid state hard drives, and optional input cards. A 3D Projection Study tool allows technical directors to choose equipment based on brightness and resolution requirements and determine the best projector placement. All four models offer templates that allow for content renewal, and all feature warping and blending tools. Features for show design, creation, setup, and control are powered by X-Agora software, following the conventions of post-production applications. The timeline-based content assembly and design tool enables users to create a 3D virtualization of a multimedia event. Interactivity and social media integration allow for immersive experiences. With a drag-and-drop interface, the servers can interact with audiences’ mobile devices using a wide variety of particle effects, shaders, and actions.
