Save The Date: Live Design Honors Presentation & Benefit Event

At the upcoming Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC), May 22-24, Live Design is hosting a special evening event on Monday, May 22, at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. The event will include a cocktail reception, a Live Design Honors presentation, and a silent auction to benefit The ESTA Foundation’s Behind The Scenes program. During the event, Live Design will honor legendary Broadway designers who have contributed to now classic, award-winning Broadway musicals.

The silent auction benefits Behind The Scenes, an initiative established by The ESTA Foundation in 2005 to provide industry members with financial support if ever seriously ill or injured. Individuals or companies can support Behind the Scenes by making tax-deductible donations online at www.estafoundation.org.

Those registered for the BLMC will be invited to attend this exciting event. The Live Design Master Classes, comprised of the Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC) and the Broadway Sound Master Classes (BSMC), will take place May 19-24, 2006 at New York University in New York City. Produced by Live Design magazine in conjunction with the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, the 12th annual BLMC and fourth annual BSMC represent in-depth professional training in lighting and sound, with sessions by the top designers in their respective fields. Tony Award-winning lighting designer Jules Fisher serves as creative consultant for the BLMC, while legendary sound designer Abe Jacob is creative consultant to the BSMC.
