Weekly Wound Up 3/29/24

So what's going on around the industry, who's talking to who and what 's new in terms of products? Here are a few clues...

ETC First Mondays: John Huntington

ETC First Mondays: John Huntington presents “Have We Reached a Live Show Technology Maturity Point?” at ETC NYC’s First Mondays* series on April 1! (Not an April Fool’s joke!).

John Huntington, CityTech Professor Emeritus and author of several books on entertainment technology, argues that we are now operating in a mature show technology environment. This maturity process was gradual enough that those of who lived through the transition may not even have been aware. In this talk, Huntington traces the evolution of show technology, and its transition phases on its way to maturity. Next, he discusses the implications on the industry of a mature, stable toolset, and speculates about the maturity’s impact on future show technology development.

If you’re able to attend please RSVP here.

The event will be preceded by a reception in the ETC NYC lobby, where you can mix and mingle with lighting peers and mentors.

630 9th Avenue, Suite 1001, New York, NY 10036
