Vari-Lite Europe takes delivery of VL1000 ERS spot luminaires

Vari-Lite Europe has taken delivery of its first VL1000™ ellipsoidal reflector spotlight units. As soon as they arrived, they went straight back out again.

A dozen of the units will be used at the Roundhouse, Camden, where the Royal Shakespeare Company is returning for the first time in 30 years to perform three of Shakespeare's late plays, The Winter's Tale, The Tempest, and Pericles. The three plays will run in repertory at the Roundhouse until transferring to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in August. Lighting designers for the shows are Hugh Vanstone for The Winter's Tale, Tina McHugh for The Tempest, and Jean Kalman for Pericles.

Vari-Lite's European sales manager Simon Roose commented, "The response to the VL1000 has been overwhelming and we are absolutely delighted that they have been chosen for this exciting new RSC Production."
