USITT to Host Texas Design Symposium

The McNay Art Museum in San Antonio and the Harry Ransom Humanities Library at the University of Texas at Austin will be the sites of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology’s 2002 Scene Design Symposium August 14-16.

This event will allow participants the opportunity to view the Robert L.B. Tobin Collection at the McNay Art Museum and the Harry Ransom Humanities Library. Experts such as Linda Hardberger, who was curator off the Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts from its inception, plus Dr. Oscar Brockett, author of History of the Theatre, and Dr. Bernhard R. Works, professor of theatre emeritus, will guide participants in discussions of the collections, and show some of the work they contain.
