Tom Kulikowski Named General Manager At Electrosonic

Thomas J. Kulikowski has joined Electrosonic as general manager of the Working Environments business for the Americas. He comes onboard after serving as president of the Advanced Communications Technologies division of Telex Communications which sold audio and data communication products for wireless applications in the aviation, government, military, and education markets.

“Tom is a seasoned business professional with experience in both large and small technology companies and has a proven track record of success,” says Electrosonic group president and CEO, Kyle M. Carpenter. “He brings a solid mix of strategic planning, hands-on sales management, and effective P&L control to this position and will be a strong addition to the Electrosonic senior management team.” Kulikowski’s post was previously held by Alan Dresner, a well-known and well-respected figure in the industry who passed away in July.

Under Kulikowski’s leadership the Advanced Communications Technologies division of Telex achieved consistent profitable growth, setting new standards for revenues and profitability. He was also instrumental in executing a smooth management-team transition when The Bosch Group purchased the company from Telex’s private equity owners.

Prior to joining Telex, Kulikowski was vice president of Marketing at Teleflex Inc., an integrated controls company for automotive, marine, and industrial applications. Earlier, he held leadership positions in product management, engineering management, marketing, and sales with Air Products and Chemicals Inc. and Monsanto Company.

Kulikowski studied Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh; he did graduate studies in Business with a Marketing concentration at Widener University, Philadelphia. “I am pleased to be joining a world-class industry leader like Electrosonic,” says Kulikowski. “My experience and skills in engineering, strategic planning, and operations will be focused on helping the company achieve even higher levels of innovation and customer satisfaction. I look forward to developing a strong team where individual goals are tightly aligned with business strategy.”

Kulikowski resides in the Minneapolis area with his wife and three children. He will report directly to Kyle Carpenter at Electrosonic’s Minnetonka office.
