TMB is pleased to announce, in support of the continuing growth of TMB Europe, the addition of Fons de Vreede to our global team. Fons will bring to TMB a wide depth of experience; from production rental and sales, to product distribution, to project management in themed entertainment and theatre. In his Customer Development role, Fons will be working with TMB customers throughout Europe and beyond.
In classic TMB style, Fons began his career on the road, as a rock & roll roadie. He then joined Flashlight Netherlands in production rentals and sales. He went on to work in project management for Disney Studios Paris, and for Disney Imagineering, and was also High End Systems’ European Sales Director for several years. Fons has held a special place at TMB for over 30 years since, back in the day, while at Flashlight, he became the first European purchaser of TMB’s original ProPlex offering, the industry’s very first touring DMX cable. Born in the Netherlands, Fons now lives in Utrecht. He will be calling and traveling around Europe, building relationships and taking care of customers.
With his wide experience and contacts, Fons sees this as a very exciting time, as Europe, and specifically its staging and production market, rebounds from recent troubling times. As he says; “It cannot go anywhere else but up”.
