Martin staffers sitting home watching March 2's Miss USA pageant most likely had their eyes trained not on the 51 contestants but behind them: on the 6 Martin Professional MAC 2000 profile luminaires that were used during the show. Greg Brunton of Design Partners designed the lighting with lighting programming by Matt Firestone. PLS supplied the MAC 2000s along with some conventional luminaries.
Hosted by ex-Star Trek captain William Shatner, the Miss USA 2001 pageant was telecast live on television network CBS. Kandace Krueger of Texas won the Miss USA 2001 title on March 2, in Gary, IN.
Brunton will use 52 MAC 2000s for the upcoming Miss Universe pageant to be held in Puerto Rico at the end of April.
