Syska Hennessy Opens Studio in Los Angeles

, a 75-year-old consulting, engineering, technology, and construction firm, has opened a lighting design studio in Los Angeles, and has named lighting designer Mathle Leyes to lead the studio. The Los Angeles Studio is the third studio for the firm, which already has lighting studios in New York and San Diego.

Leyes, who joined Syska Hennessy in 1998, is a senior associate of the firm, and has relocated from Syska’s New York office. She has worked on lighting design for major corporate facilities, colleges and universities, sports arenas, healthcare facilities, hotels and airports throughout the U.S, and holds a master of fine arts degree in lighting design from the Parsons School of Design and a bachelor of arts in interior design from the University of San Carlos, School of Fine Arts.

"Mathle Leyes brings a wealth of experience with large-scale lighting design and controls projects," notes Gary Brennen, senior vice-president and western region manager for Syska.
