Susan Tesh Named General Manager of PRG's CA Operations

Production Resource Group (PRG) announced that Susan Tesh has been named general manager of its California operations. Tesh, along with a management team of industry professionals, will lead all West Coast operations, including the company's consolidation efforts and its future growth. Her appointment comes as PRG progresses with integration activities following the completion of its merger last month with VLPS Lighting Services International, Inc.

Tesh was formerly the general manager of VLPS' Los Angeles office. In 1979, she moved to Los Angeles to join sound and lighting company TFA/Electrotec, where she worked with many top concert tours. In 1987, she was appointed the exclusive U.S. distributor of Milab microphones, gaining the support of top recording and live audio engineers. Vari-Lite, Inc., hired Tesh in 1988 to open their first rental location outside of Dallas.

Tesh is credited with developing the premier service model for cutting-edge lighting technology. She combined the technology with high-level technical staff, solid advancing and coordinated logistics -- the arrangement most television lighting designers rely on today. Tesh and her team have provided this leading service to some of the world's biggest events, including the 2004 Athens Olympic Ceremonies, World Music Awards, NFL Super Bowl Half-Time Show, Miss Universe, American Idol, and the Academy Awards, as well as worldwide concert tours such as the Rolling Stones and the Blue Man Group.

Most recently, Tesh managed the lighting equipment for the Democratic National Convention in Boston. "We could not have asked for a better GM for our West Coast operations and I am pleased to welcome Susan to her new role," said Jere Harris, chairman and CEO of PRG. "Susan's accomplishments and track record speak for themselves -- and she has a proven team of professionals to support her. Together, they will help take the new PRG to greater heights of service, quality and technology leadership."

Commenting further, Rusty Brutsche, PRG's vice chairman and chief technology officer, said, "PRG is fortunate to have assembled a management team of this caliber. We still have much to accomplish, but with this and other, equally strong teams in place, we have no doubt that we can continue to raise the bar in terms of the quality of service we offer to our customers in California and, quite literally, the world."
