Steven Kemp Receives USITT Young Designers and Technicians Award

The Young Designers and Technicians Award in Scenic Design will be given to Steven Kemp, a graduate student at the University of California at San Diego. The Scenic Design Award is given to graduate students who have demonstrated excellence and talent and is sponsored by Rose Brand. These awards bring recognition and support to young designers and technicians at the beginning of their careers encouraging growth of professionalism within the entertainment industry.

USITT recognizes excellence and significant contributions in the performing arts and the entertainment industry in areas of design and technology through a variety of awards. These awards can honor individuals and or organizations.

The award will be presented at the USITT Stage Conference and Expo in Houston at the Young Designers and Technicians luncheon, in Hilton room 343, March 20, and again at the Fellows and Young Designers and Technicians address in the Hilton Lanier Ballroom also on March 20 at 6:15pm.
