Las Vegas, Nevada, USA – Following the success of the recent ‘Be Seen, Be Heard’ event in London, the Be Seen, Be Heard community is now bringing the conversation to prominent USA trade show, LDI.

Organized by frame:work, Production Futures, and Disguise, the hugely positive London event was hosted at Bluman Associates, London. It brought together thought leaders, industry pioneers, and emerging talents from the world of entertainment technology and design. Collectively they presented panel discussions and storytelling sessions. These ignited an insightful and forward-looking conversations around the value of diversity in industry and how that might be achieved sooner rather than later.

Additionally, the Be Seen, Be Heard manifesto was conceived at the gathering. A progressive living document, and a call to action, that outlines steps for creating an industry workforce that fully reflects and represents the full diversity of society. Check out: www.beseenbeheard.org.

The upcoming event at the LDI trade show will be held on Tuesday 10th December, mid-day, in Room W310, West Hall, at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. It will spotlight the critical value of fostering a representative workforce across all facets of the entertainment industry, from product development to backstage creatives and crews, alongside performer talent.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Have conversations with people who feel underrepresented within the industry and discuss how the barriers to entry might be addressed.
  • Explore key findings and actionable insights from the ‘Be Seen, Be Heard’ event in London and read the resulting Manifesto.
  • Network with advocates, allies, and leaders committed to driving meaningful cultural and working practice change within the industry workforce.
  • Join forces with, and be supported by, a community of professionals dedicated to developing a representative workforce that celebrates the enhanced creativity and innovation such a workforce delivers.
  • Contribute to the Be Seen, Be Heard ‘What does Success Look Like’ statement for the ‘Be Seen, Be Heard’ website
