SMART LightRaise(TM) Projector Mount Supports New Projectors to Provide More Options for Multimedia Integration

SMART Technologies Inc. announces that the SMART LightRaise projector mount now supports additional projectors from InFocus, EPSON and Toshiba. This innovative wall-mounted projector system simplifies installing, maintaining and using a projector in classrooms and meeting rooms. The LightRaise projector mount can now be used with the EPSON PowerLite(R) 800p and 810p, InFocus LP280 and LP290, and Toshiba TAIS TDP-T3 and TAIS TDP-S3. As a result, SMART customers and systems integrators have more options to meet their projector and multimedia integration needs, while accommodating a variety of budgets and performance specifications.

Designed to accompany the industry-leading SMART Board(TM) 560 and 580 interactive whiteboards, the patent-pending LightRaise projector mount enhances collaboration and presentation environments. The projector mount includes a telescoping projector boom and a multimedia console that attach to the wall, freeing up valuable work space while keeping equipment secure yet accessible.

The projector boom mounts to the wall above the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and can be easily lowered for access to the projector. It has a sleek, streamlined appearance and includes a cable-management system, effectively hiding all projector cables. The multimedia console mounts below the interactive whiteboard and allows users to conveniently operate the projector. It holds both a computer and a VCR or DVD player and includes cabling for a guest laptop. The multimedia console also features an audio system, integrated control panel and the SMART X-Port(TM) 20 multimedia switch, which enables the user to move smoothly between input sources, such as between a computer, VCR and DVD player.

"The SMART LightRaise projector mount gives SMART customers a simple, affordable solution for integrating a projector, a SMART Board interactive whiteboard and a multimedia cabinet into meeting rooms and classrooms," says Nancy Knowlton, president and COO of SMART Technologies Inc. "The system's ability to support a wide variety of projectors means customers have more flexibility in choosing equipment that meets their instructional, presentation and meeting needs."
