Simons Named Product Manager at Vincent Lighting Systems

Effective immediately, Vincent Lighting Systems (VLS) has promoted J.R. Simons to Product Manager in its Cleveland office. Simons replaces Cindi Manning, who is no longer with the company.

Simons spent his high school years performing in every school play, yet still graduated as class valedictorian. He attended Kent State University, where he earned a BFA in Theatre and an MA in Theatre History.

Simons joined the Inside Sales team at Vincent Lighting Systems in 1998. But his job at VLS is only one aspect of his involvement in the entertainment industry. He serves on the Ohio State Board of the Educational Theatre Association, builds sets and lights productions for Avon High School located in Avon, Ohio, and is Treasurer of the Lorain County Children's Pioneer Theatre. Simons also runs a local murder mystery troupe, The Jovialities Entertainment Company, and directs community theatre productions across northern Ohio.

The entertainment industry has long recognized Vincent Lighting Systems as a leader in the Theatrical and Television lighting business. For the past two years, VLS has been voted as the ESTA Dealer of the Year in the category of 25+ employees. Founded in 1978, Vincent Lighting Systems has offices in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Detroit. The company is comprised of a 54-person team that handles lighting sales, rentals and production services.
