Las Vegas, NV - 4Wall Entertainment is pleased to welcome Shawn Boyle, Jason Ortiz, Nick Stabile, and Chris Tone to its sales team. In the midst of a busy year for the company, each brings a particular skillset supporting various end markets and geographies the company operates in.
Shawn Boyle - Account Executive
Shawn Boyle is a projection and lighting designer with experience in theatre, musical theatre, opera, dance, installation, and architectural projects. As associate to projection designer Elaine J. McCarthy, he helped mount productions of Wicked around the world and later co-designed projections for Broadway's Paradise Square with Wendall K. Harrington. Earlier this year he was part of the projection team for CATS: The Jellicle Ball, and he recently worked on four major ballets with Tulsa Ballet.
Shawn holds an MFA in Projection Design from Yale, where he has spent years teaching and advising emerging designers. Working out of 4Wall's New York office, he will primarily focus on Broadway and the New York arts community.
"I've spent roughly twenty years working within the performing arts community. That gives me an understanding not only of the artistic process, but also of what it feels like to be the person sitting at the design table trying to solve a problem. What excites me about 4Wall," said Boyle, "is the depth of resources I can now bring into those conversations. It isn't simply access to equipment. It's the shops, prep spaces, technical expertise, previs capabilities, sales resources, and, perhaps most importantly, the network of people and support available locally and nationally."
Jason Ortiz - Account Executive
Jason Ortiz has worked in New York film and television since getting his start on set in 2010. He spent his early years in the assistant director department on features including Doctor Strange and the Fast & Furious franchise, along with series for Netflix, HBO, Apple, Hulu, ABC, and CBS. His experiences taught him the pace and pressure crews work under, and it still shapes how he approaches the job. He has also spent years working on independent productions and on films of his own, giving him useful perspective from the filmmaker's side.
He later moved to the vendor side as East Coast Manager for Lux Lighting, where he was handed a key and an empty room and helped build the New York operation from there. At 4Wall, he is focusing on film and television in New York and will help grow the company's presence across both markets by utilizing 4Wall's updated tv/film-specific lighting and video inventory.
"Film and television is an incredibly relationship-driven business, and I want to be more than someone who simply provides equipment," said Ortiz. "I want to be a resource and partner to the crews, filmmakers, vendors, and manufacturers I work with."
Nick Stabile - Account Executive
Nick Stabile's first career was in front of the camera. After earning his MFA in acting at the National Theatre Conservatory, he moved to Los Angeles in 1992, landed a series regular role on Sunset Beach, and went on to CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and a lead role in Universal's Bride of Chucky.
In 2014 he turned his full attention to RatPac Dimmers, leading the sales and marketing divisions while focusing on the film and television industry. During his time there, he worked closely with gaffers and electricians to move from traditional dimming systems to RatPac's distributed systems, with wireless DMX integration, reverse-phase dimmers, and improved safety features.
Based at 4Wall Los Angeles, Nick will focus on 4Wall's film and television business across the Los Angeles area while also supporting gaffers and film clients nationally.
"Growing the film and TV division as a team is the challenge I'm most looking forward to," Stabile said. "I get to sell and collaborate with my manufacturing friends and bring equipment and service to the rigging and gaffing professionals who have been my customers for years. I'm doing what I love with the people I love."
Chris Tone - Senior Account Manager, Systems & Design
Chris Tone started at Disney Live Entertainment as a union stagehand and stayed for 22 years. He ran followspot, automation, and video projection before moving up through crew chief, assistant technical director, technical director, and technical manager. For much of his time at Disney, Chris was also a 4Wall client, working closely with 4Wall's Systems & Design team on multiple projects.
Working out of 4Wall Los Angeles, Chris is focused on themed entertainment and permanent installations, particularly lighting, controls, and systems integration. He has spent his career where the creative and technical sides meet, and he puts it simply: "It's one thing to come up with a great idea. It's another to figure out how to make it work safely, reliably, and within budget." His goal is to build systems that run on simpler programming and are built from equipment that holds up day after day.
"I understand what it's like to be the client of 4Wall," said Tone. "I know how important it is to have a partner who understands the project, communicates clearly, and delivers a system that works not just on opening day but for many years to come."
