Montréal, Quebec – SFM, a market leader in customized go-to-market solutions for global brands within the audiovisual, live entertainment, media production and technology industries today announced its appointment as Master Distributor with the global leader in civilian drones and aerial imaging technology, DJI Enterprise. The agreement gives SFM direct access to distribute DJI Enterprise's complete portfolio — including drone platforms, payload and sensor accessories, docking and automation software, and enterprise data management tools.
SFM will be supported by DJI Enterprise with pre- and post-sale technical guidance, deployment assistance, and training for its partner base. The solutions are aimed at organizations that need faster, safer, and more accurate ways to collect data, spanning fields such as:
- Public safety: Real-time aerial and thermal data accelerate emergency response and sharpens tactical decision-making.
- Geospatial: Survey-grade maps, models, and inspections give surveyors and engineers the accuracy to keep projects on schedule and on budget.
- Energy and utilities: Real-time visibility into grids, plants, and remote assets streamlines construction monitoring, inspections, and maintenance.
- Oil and gas: Aerial inspections cut equipment and infrastructure downtime while keeping crews out of harm's way.
The appointment marks SFM's entry into commercial unmanned aerial vehicle distribution. "Enterprise drones are becoming standard across inspection, security, construction, and public safety. This partnership extends our distribution expertise to a new reseller base, delivering faster, more accurate information and cost savings over traditional methods," said Ghyslain Berger, President and Chief Executive Officer of SFM. "Our role extends well beyond making products available. We're building the technical, training, and business-development resources partners need to bring complete drone solutions to market, and to accelerate DJI Enterprise adoption across Canada." said Joey Molino, Director of Brand Management at SFM.
SFM and DJI Enterprise collaborate on partner training, vertical-specific solution bundles, and market development initiatives to accelerate adoption of enterprise drone technology across Canada in the months ahead. According to a national Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems and Advanced Air Mobility economic impact study, Canada's drone sector contributed up to $3.6 billion CAD to GDP in 2024, supported over 30,000 jobs, and is projected to reach more than $69 billion CAD in annual GDP contribution by 2045.
