Sennheiser Promotes Oliver Baumann To VP Export

Sennheiser Electronic Corporation is happy to announce the promotion of Oliver Baumann to VP Export for the Latin American market. Since it is one of Sennheiser's fastest growing markets, the promise of even greater sales places unique demands on Baumann in his new position. It seems unlikely that the company could have selected a more qualified candidate to rise to that challenge.

Born to German parents and raised in Latin America, Baumann is fluent in English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Perhaps more importantly, his cultural competency spans the hemisphere and allows him to communicate with and anticipate the needs of Sennheiser's Latin American customers. Baumann has been with Sennheiser for ten years, always in Latin America, working in market development and sales managerial positions. Baumann replaces Greg Beebe, who was recently appointed director of global relations for Sennheiser.

Baumann will report directly to Sennheiser president and CEO John Falcone and will oversee the company's entire export endeavor. This includes management of all brands (Neumann, Klein + Hummel, HHB, Turbosound, and Australian Monitor) and encompasses all markets (broadcast, live sound, recording, installed sound, and consumer). In addition, Baumann will supervise sister company, Sennheiser Mexico (run by Angel González), as well as the marketing director, customer service center, and a team of sales managers located throughout Latin America.

Regarding the appointment, Falcone commented, "Oliver has sharpened his skills over the last ten years with Sennheiser, and was the obvious choice for the position. He understands the intricacies of the export market and had a significant hand in Sennheiser's recent gains there. We see tremendous potential in the coming years, particularly in the consumer and installed markets, and I'm very pleased that we'll have Oliver's guidance to ensure our success."
