With roots in engineering and technology, Millar began his work in immersive technology as head of technology at Pixel Artworks, where he got to work on the world’s biggest projections, engineering incredible systems that delivered original content. As he threw himself into the world of AV, Scott worked as freelance operator and consultant for White Light’s forward thinking broadcast department, where he further honed his skills as a design technologist. This led to connecting with XR Studios President and valued collaborator J.T. Rooney.Scott’s background in interactivity and MR-driven experiences provides the foundation for he and his team at XR Studios to create innovative productions for music, corporate, esports, broadcast, and brand projects.

At the center of many of these XR & VR experiences are a combination of TouchDesigner, Unreal Engine, and Notch, which will be covered in this full-day training session at LDI, led by Dylan Roscover. Each of these three software programs delivers its strengths to a project:

  • TouchDesigner's unlimited flexibility and hardware integrations.

  • Unreal Engine’s high-end rendering.

  • Notch’s rapid content creation workflows.
