Schuler Shook Consultants Achieve ASTC Membership

Three of Schuler Shook’s theatre consultants were accepted into the membership of The American Society of Theatre Consultants at the organization’s convention held September 23-26 in Las Vegas.

Michael Burgoyne, Jeffrey Childs, and Joshua Grossman achieved full membership by meeting a series of requirements, including working as theatre consultants for at least 5 years, showing a broad range of capability and experience in completing theatre projects, and receiving the sponsorship of existing members in ASTC.

The ASTC is chartered to improve the programming, planning and construction of performance venues, to further the interests of owners, users and audiences of theatre, and to promote high standards of practice among its members.

“We are pleased to see these excellent theatre consultants rewarded with ASTC membership,” says Schuler Shook president, Robert Shook. “It’s good for the industry as a whole, and it reflects Schuler Shook's ongoing commitment to the mentoring and continued training of our staff.”

Burgoyne, Childs, and Grossman have several projects of note to their names, including Plaza Theatre, El Paso, TX; Grace Church, Edina, MN; Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, MN; Lookingglass Theatre, Chicago, IL; Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, Seattle, WA; Harris Theater for Music and Dance, Chicago, IL; Evangelical Free Church of Naperville, Naperville, IL; and Forest Hills Community Fine Arts Center, Forest Hills, MI.
