Sandy Macdonald Joins Meyer Sound

Industry veteran Sandy Macdonald has been appointed Meyer Sound’s new Northeastern Regional Sales Manager, according to an announcement made by the company at the NSCA show in Denver.

“Sandy is a perfect fit for our company,” says Meyer Sound’s director of North American sales, Greg McVeigh, on the occasion. “For me, it’s a real luxury to have somebody with his qualifications in that position. I’m confident he will help continue Meyer’s healthy pace of growth in that part of the country.”

Macdonald comes to Meyer Sound after 18 years of service at Eastern Acoustic Works, where he served as both national sales manager and international sales manager. He replaces Brian Coviello, who left to serve as the Florida/Georgia rep for Yamaha.

“This is an exciting move for me,” comments Macdonald. “Meyer Sound is the only other loudspeaker company that I really wanted to work with. I’ve respected their products from day one, and despite some attempts by others, they really own the market in powered systems.”

Macdonald is based out of Meyer Sound’s regional sales office in Westborough, MA, about 40 minutes outside of Boston. He assumes primary responsibility for Meyer Sound sales in New England, the Middle Atlantic states and portions of the upper Midwest.
