Potter will accent audio at LDI2021 with these two sessions:

• Picking The Right Audio Gear: Friday, November 19, 4:30-5:30pm in the IndustryBiz Lounge

With so many choices out there, where do we begin? In this session, we'll seek to cover what our biggest goals are when we look to change or upgrade our audio equipment. Budget, busing, and other words that start with "B." Learn to discern the marketing tactics and the get the right piece of gear for the right project.

• Mixing For Streaming: Saturday, November 20, 11am-12:15pm, in the CFX@ LDI Lounge

Many audio engineers specialize in either FOH mixing or broadcast/stream mixing. Only recently have we begun blending these two worlds in the house of worship market. Suddenly, audio engineers, techs, and volunteers need to understand and design an audio system for streaming. To make things more complicated, the techniques used for live rooms do not translate well into the world of streaming. So how do we translate our mixes from acoustic to the web? What pitfalls do we need to be wary of? In this session, learn the techniques to achieve a quality broadcast stream for your service. While this session is part of CFX's presentations for houses of worship, the techniques are sound for all streaming situations.
