Road Trip!

Sound designer Brad Berridge and production manager Jeff Roudabush are driving from (way) upstate New York to Kansas City for USITT this week, stopping to visit various friends and theatres along the way. It sounded like fun, so we asked them to chronicle the trip for us on our Live Blog. They’ll be posting notes and video for us the entire week, or until they pass out from exhaustion.

The duo hit the road yesterday, stopping for wings in Buffalo, a wine tour in the middle of nowhere, and a visit with sound designer Richard Ingraham at the Beck Center of the Arts in Cleveland. As we post this, they are enjoying a healthy meal at a local IHOP, with a possible stop at Ballet Met down the road in Columbus. Then it’s off to Indy for a tour of Indiana Rep, a chat with some musicians, and a possible a club tour and mixing takeover by Brad. If all goes well, there will be additional stops on Tuesday at the Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock, MO, and another stop in St. Louis, before reaching KC. “Of course,” notes Berridge, “when we see signs we will engage the ADD and detour.”
