Recent Promotions At Visual Terrain

Visual Terrian has promoted Eileen Thomas to principal designer, Jeremy Windle to associate principal, and Edward S. Marks to associate principal.

Eileen Thomas, LC, has led a number of design teams and most recently served as project manager and interior project designer for Morongo Casino Resort and Spa, for which she won the prestigious 2005 IALD Award of Merit for her interior lighting design. Other awards include six IIDA Awards of Merit for her work on various GameWorks flagships. Recent projects include the newly opened South Coast Casino and Las Vegas Central, a large condominium mixed-use development in Las Vegas. Thomas joined Visual Terrain in 1996 and is a board member of the Designers Lighting Forum of Los Angeles.

Jeremy Windle, LC, IESNA has won numerous lighting awards for his designs, including work on GameWorks flagship stores, theme park attractions and the LAX Gateway. Most recently, he received a Lumen West Award of Excellence for his design work on a public arts installation in the City of Santa Monica. Windle began his career in themed environmental design at Sea World in San Diego, and holds a BS in Television from Emerson College. Current projects include lifestyle shopping centers in Florida, Alabama and Texas. Windle is an adjunct lighting design instructor at Santa Monica College, and serves as president of the Los Angeles Designers Lighting Forum.

Edward S. Marks diverse background in design includes projects from corporate events to architectural interiors and facades including the Ashes and Snow exhibit located in the Nomadic Museum on the Santa Monica Pier. He is currently project lighting designer for Dubai Festival City. Other architectural projects include designing a new project at Los Angeles International Airport and re-lighting the exterior of the Marina Del Rey Marriott hotel.
