Projection Product Of The Year: Christie YK200

A member of the Christie Nitro Solutions family of yokes and projectors from Christie Digital, the Christie YK200 is a dual-arm yoke designed for projectors between 12,000 to 20,000 ANSI lumens. It supports the Christie Roadster Series and the Christie LX1500, allowing moving video and lighting to enhance the audience experience. It uses DMX protocol, enabling users to integrate and control lighting equipment and video projectors easily with the same console, and it can be flown, rigged, or used as a static station. “Finally pixel-accurate pan and tilt, with an ability to hang any of the current Christie Digital line,” enthuses one of our judges. “A serious way to move projectors.” These yokes were used at the 2012 TED Conference, permitting images to be on the floor, walls, ceiling, and the crowd to create an immersive media environment, and wow a very discerning audience.
